ORIGAMI
For this series of patterns I work from origamis, from their geometric shapes and systems of mathematical pavements for the repetition of the drawing.
Pavement: mathematically, it is a complete covering of the plan without hole nor superimposing. The basic drawing is called a «tile». It ensues from the cristalographie in the space in two dimensions. 17 groups of symmetries of the plan were identified for the first time in 1891 by a cristalographe.
The illustrative pattern work of M.C. Escher is often evoque as a reference.
